As you can see in the map above, industrialization started in Europe. Europe was the hearth of industrialization. It happened after the enlightenment period and renisance age when political and scientific beliefs first started to be questioned. It diffused to America and Japan started to industrialize after it made contact with Americans. This happened during the 1800's, but mostly durind the mid 1800s. Innovation got the ball rolling to what we now call modern society. Individuals used designs of others, and made them better and more practical to ultimatly lead to our technology today... Until recently, the only countries/regions that industrialized were America, Japan, Europe, and Australia. Now these countries are the core countries while the rest are either periphery or semi-periphery.
